At MILK, there are many factors
to success — including our people, who are key ingredients in every project.
Shannon Heth
Shannon moves seamlessly across disciplines — equally at home as creative director, PR strategist, art director, copywriter and business marketer. As founding president of MILK, she sets the foundation for an agency that does not separate between strong strategy, compelling creative and healthy business results.
Starting as a copywriter at Fjord Digital, a division of Cossette, Shannon scripted radio spots for Prospera Credit Union, crafted taglines for McDonald’s billboards and developed website copy for Bell Media. Her passion for art led her to New York City, where she managed PR projects for Deutsche Bank, Pulse Art Fair, Prospect 1 New Orleans and Lehmann Maupin Gallery before returning to Vancouver in 2008 to launch her own firm, Heth PR — rebranded as MILK Creative Communications in 2016 to serve local, national and international brands.
Ruby Gillett
Ruby is a relationship-builder and creative strategist with a knack for making brands shine. With a background in theatre from George Brown College, she mastered the art of audience connection early on, later channeling that skill into the fast-paced world of social media, content creation, and PR. After building a strong digital presence on Instagram and YouTube, Ruby transitioned behind the scenes, joining Town Hall Brands, where she worked with a variety of food and beverage clients. Now at MILK, she leads media relations and strategic storytelling for a diverse portfolio of beverage, lifestyle, and hospitality brands across Canada. She specializes in crafting newsworthy campaigns that resonate, ensuring her clients’ stories reach the right audiences.
Alice Kouzmenko
With two degrees in creative writing, Alice is a storyteller at heart, and loves nothing more than to hear, share, and shape the stories of people, projects, and brands. Alice began her career at an entertainment PR agency in London, UK, where she progressed to leading campaigns for some of the UK’s biggest talent, brands, events and podcasts. Her proudest project is the work she did with Barclays bank to grow the profile of women and girls’ football in the country. Alice relocated to Vancouver in early 2023, where she spent a year leading the communications, digital and social strategy of a TV production company. Now at MILK, Alice manages a range of lifestyle, restaurant and CPG accounts, crafting newsworthy campaigns and delivering engaging stories to audiences across Canada and beyond.
